First aid to families of hostages, prisoners and missing relatives


The National Insurance will give an economic, medical and psychologic package to the families of abducted, imprisoned and missing citizens.

The Ministry of Defense will provide similar rights in parallel to families of those abducted and missing among security forces.

The rights package to be granted to families will likely include, among other rights :

  • A first advance payment to be made in upcoming days amounting to NIS 10,000.
  • Eligibility for a monthly allowance of between NIS 7,000 and 11,000 (depending of family composition).
  • Help with medical care - including treatments not included in the medication basket (funding of drugs, medical counseling, medical assistive devices).
  • Psychologic assistance involving funding of psychologic therapies, alternative medicine, support groups and more.
  • Studies and vocational/employment training.
  • Grants for special needs in the field of welfare and livelihood.
